I need some help with my halloween mask?

Ok so im making my own mask and i was wondering if these guys possibly put wax on their masks to make them so smooth or what?

It isn't 'wax'





When you fire the clay, the kind of paint you use depends on if it's Matt or Glossy.





You COULD cover a Matt mask in Paraffin Wax if you really wanted to.





My bet is they where handmade clay masks, fired, painted with glossy paint then fired again to achieve the glossy texture.I need some help with my halloween mask?
That would be reeeeally hard to recreate at home. Those definitely look manufactured.
